About Us
Located more than 5 hours away from Harrisonburg, Virginia, and about 350 miles north, the NYC Metro area holds the second largest contingency of James Madison University alumni outside of the Washington D.C. Metro area. Our purpose as an alumni chapter is to draw together alumni in the area as we try to extend an environment that engages, enriches and celebrates the unique charm of James Madison University. We do this by organizing and promoting events and activities within the region that keep the spirit of our wonderful university alive! From happy hours and holiday get-togethers, to charity work and networking, we hope that we can appeal to area alumni of all ages. We look forward to gaining momentum as more and more people get involved, and we welcome new ideas and helpful suggestions to make this chapter a model for others around the country and the world.
